Farm Shop
Established in the main village of Bishops Lydeard 26 years ago and relocated to Broadgauge Business Park in 2007, Lydeard Farm Shop was originally known as The Fruit and Flower Basket & Strickoes Deli. Sarah & Ivor Summers took over the business in August of 2019 and whilst not growing produce in situ they have strived to have a local food & supply chain – taking great pleasure in showcasing many local cottage and small businesses within the shop.
All produced is purchased locally where possible, as well as from the South West in general, and then UK grown or manufactured where it cannot be sourced from the South West.

Many of our suppliers are located in the very near vicinity of Bishops Lydeard, and of course much of the deli products and frozen meals are made on the premises.
Our famous Quiches
Probably what we are best known for and a specialty of the deli part of the shop. A range of up to 10 different varieties made from local eggs, cheeses and meats. Sold by the slice or available to purchase whole by order.
Local Cider and Ales
We stock a good range of Ciders and Ales including Sheppy’s, Harry’s and Taunton Cider as well as Quantock Brewery’s range. We also have some local wines and Gin too.
Cheese Counter
Our cheese counter has in the region of 40 cheeses to chose from ranging from the very local to South West favourites, as well as many Regional cheeses from across the UK. Just ask for a sample and enjoy something new!
Chutneys & Pickles
As well as making a range of simply superb chutneys known as Strickoes Pickoes in house, we have an extensive range of pickles, olives, sauces and relishes.
Vegetables & Fruit
A comprehensive selection of local and seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as some staples which have to sourced from outside the UK, but UK is always our first choice.
Personal Hampers
Need a gift for someone special or that person who has everything? Just chose what you would like from the shop and we can put that together in a hamper for you to take away, or you can just give us a budget and we will sort.
